Fairbanks Pummeled as ‘Blizzard Conditions’ Hit Area

Heavy snowfall and strong winds created “blizzard conditions” in Fairbanks, Alaska, on the morning of Wednesday, December 29, as a storm hit the area. The winter weather capped what was already Fairbanks’s wettest December on record, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The NWS released this footage on Wednesday morning, reporting that “localized blizzard conditions are occurring in the Fairbanks area as this band of heavy snow moves through along with gusty winds.” Credit: @NWSFairbanks via Storyful
