Motorists Wait in Line for COVID Tests in Decatur, Georgia

Long lines were reported at COVID-19 test sites across the US ahead of the holidays and amid a surge in Omicron cases. This video, posted by Kato Leonard, shows a line of motorists several blocks long waiting to enter a COVID-19 test site in Decatur, Georgia. A total of 3,727 positive cases and 25 deaths were reported in Georgia as of Tuesday at 2:50 pm according to official records. President Joe Biden said that 500 million at-home COVID-19 tests would be sent to Americans beginning in January 2022 as part of a plan to combat a rise in cases. Biden’s plan also included deploying more vaccinators and the addition of federal medical personnel at medical facilities overwhelmed by COVID patients. Credit: Kato Leonard via Storyful
