Queenslanders are being told to celebrate Christmas outside and avoid family gatherings if unwell - as case numbers continue to rise in the Sunshine State. Chief Health Officer John Gerrard issued a stern warning to those yet to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and told them to stay away from gatherings. Health authorities are expecting cases to spike over the coming weeks but Health Minister Yvette D’Ath insists the health system will be able to cope.
