Former South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill has become the “typhoid Mary” of South Australia after testing positive to COVID-19, according to News Corp columnist David Penberthy. “In a state which has had no COVID for months now, the fact that we’ve got 18 cases, this is now known here as a super spreader event,” Mr Penberthy told Sky News host Chris Kenny. Mr Penberthy said the individuals isolating includes the “tout le monde of the upper echelons of South Australia’s political leadership”. The former Premier also paid a visit to the state parliament, which has subsequently been shut down as a result. Mr Penberthy and his wife are also in isolation after meeting with the former Premier in isolated incidents.
