Sled dogs leapt with excitement as their trainer readied them to travel through fresh snow in Willow, Alaska, on December 1. This footage, filmed along Willow Creek by Dwayne Edward Beals from Sled Dog News Kennel, shows the thrilled canines. “Usually, we are on sleds long before now, but not this year. So was delighted to be out in fresh powder,” he told Storyful. According to the National Weather Service, 1-3 inches of snow fell on the first day of December, with more expected in the following weeks.
