Sir Lewis Hamilton knighted in ceremony after controversial F1 title loss

Several days after controversially missing out on World Championship glory – Lewis Hamilton has picked up a new title. The seven-time champion received a knighthood, becoming Sir Lewis Hamilton at a ceremony at Windsor Castle. He was awarded the honorary title by the Prince of Wales for services to motorsport. The 36-year-old Briton is only the fourth F1 driver to be knighted – and the first to be awarded while still competing.
