Western Australia is tightening travel restrictions from next week as Victoria is upgraded to high risk and new rules to be imposed for drivers entering from high or extreme risk areas. The travel upgrade means those allowed entry will have to supply a negative COVID-19 test in the 72 hours before departure. Travellers will also have to prove they’ve had at least one vaccine dose, use the state’s G2G Pass application, and undergo mandatory testing on days two and 12. Drivers wishing to enter the state will also need to provide a negative test within three days of arrival after two truck drivers from New South Wales tested positive for the virus.
