‘Heads should roll’ over Queensland hospital outbreak

Ipswich restaurant owner Ross Williams says Greater Brisbane’s three-day is an “absolute joke” and he cannot understand how a nurse and doctor were both working while unvaccinated. He told Sky News many businesses were only just recovering from the first three-day lockdown imposed on Greater Brisbane in early January. “The loss of turnover can run into hundreds of thousands of dollars … places just shut because they can’t cope,” Mr Williams said. “This lockdown could be devastating I think because really it’s just come out of the blue.” He told Sky News he believed the Palaszczuk government when they said earlier there would be no further lockdowns. “[Dr Jeanette] Young’s told us, twice I’ve heard her say that they won’t be putting us back into lockdown and I’m thinking ‘that’s good, they’ve obviously got it under control’ and then you hear that a doctor and a nurse hasn’t been vaccinated and they didn’t make it mandatory,” Mr Williams said. “Heads should roll, is her job going to go? “Someone has to be sacked … it’s just ridiculous.”
