Tennessee Police Rescue Family and Dog From Floodwaters

Officers from the Lebanon Police Department rescued a family and their dog from floodwaters on Sunday, March 28. According to the National Weather Service, upwards of 7 to 9 inches fell in some parts of Tennessee during a 24-hour period over the weekend, leading to widespread flooding and at least four fatalities. This footage, taken in the early hours of March 28, shows officers helping a family and their dog, Emma, move from their flooded home to safety. Water submerged part of a large vehicle used by officers, which the Lebanon Police Department identified as an “MRAP rescue vehicle.” “If any of you have seen that vehicle in person, you’d know that it’s a beast, and that water is very high,” the department wrote in a Facebook post.
