Prominent progressive congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has engaged in a tense exchange with Joe Biden over the conflict in Gaza as the pair met in Detroit, Michigan on Monday, local time. An aide to Ms Tlaib told the New York Times the congresswoman, who is a Palestinian-American, told the president to stop support the Israeli government, which the Ms Tlaib claims is committing crimes against Palestinians. The conflict between Hamas and Israel has dragged on past a week. Both sides have taken causalities, with at least 213 Palestinians killed, including 61 children. Israel has reported 12 people killed, including a 5-year old boy.
