Brisbane residents will know whether their city will host the 2030 Olympic Games by 6:30pm this evening. Just after 5pm on Wednesday evening Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, federal Sports Minister Richard Colbeck and the Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner will make their final pitch to the International Olympic Committee. The pitch will be followed by a short period of questions before it goes to a vote with a simple majority required for Brisbane to secure the Games. This comes after it was revealed it will cost $5 billion to put on the Olympics.
