Brisbane school closed after COVID-positive student

One of Brisbane’s largest high schools will remain closed for at least two weeks after a 17-year-old student tested positive for COVID-19 Teachers and students who attended Indooroopilly State High School on Tuesday and Wednesday are considered close contacts and must quarantine at home for fourteen days. Queensland health authorities are working with the school and the girl's family to determine how she acquired the virus. The University of Southern Queensland’s Springfield campus was closed on Friday after three staff members attended a subject selection expo at the school on Thursday night. A pop-up testing clinic will begin operating at the facility today.
