The lightning-started Cedar Creek fire burning within the bounds of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington grew to more than 36,000 acres by Thursday, July 29, fire officials said. Footage shared by Elizabeth Dalley shows smoky skies in Mazama on July 19. As of July 29, the fire was measured to be 36,922 acres (about 58 square miles) and was 10 percent contained, fire officials said. More than 600 personnel were fighting the fire. The Delancy fire, also burning within Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, was 223 acres and showing “minimal activity” as of Thursday. Credit: Elizabeth Dalley via Storyful
