A wind phenomenon called a sudestada hit the eastern Argentinian coast early on Wednesday morning, July 28, causing damaging waves that eroded the foundation of a beachfront home. Footage shared on Instagram shows the collapse of the structure on the beach in Mar del Tuyu, a town in the province of Buenos Aires. Lifeguards from the town shared the footage on Instagram, writing in the caption, “We have no words.” A meteorological warning for rain, wind, and flooding had been in effect since Monday, reports said.
