Intense Thunderstorms Flood New York City Subway Station

Heavy thunderstorms led to flooding in parts of the New York City subway system on Thursday, July 8, sending deluges cascading down steps and forcing straphangers to wade through water at a number of stations. This video, taken on Thursday afternoon inside the 149th Street-Grand Concourse station in the Bronx, shows water running down onto the platform. Earlier, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning impacted over 9 million residents in the New York City area. Credit: @williamferr94 via Storyful
