An AstraZeneca spokesperson has touted the safety and efficacy of the Oxford University developed coronavirus treatment. “This is a really important day for all Australians and a really proud day for AstraZeneca,” she said. On Sunday the TGA gave the green light for the doses to be manufactured domestically and cleared four batches for distribution after testing the vaccine in ACT laboratories. The AstraZeneca spokesperson said, “this is a true story of collaboration both globally and locally with hundreds of people working behind the scenes day and night to make this day possible”. “It’s also a really great example of what modern science can do and a hugely brilliant illustration of human endeavour.”
