Child-killer Kathleen Folbigg’s conviction reinforced after losing judicial appeal

Convicted child-killer Kathleen Folbigg has failed in her bid to challenge a judicial review which reinforced her convictions. She launched legal action in the Court of Appeal to overturn the outcome of the 2019 inquiry after spending nearly two decades behind bars over the deaths of her four babies. All of her children died before their second birthdays over a ten-year period from 1989. Her lawyers failed to convince the court the initial investigation should have considered whether the deaths were from natural causes. Ms Folbigg is now being called upon to pay the government's legal costs for the appeal process.
