Firefighters in Cyprus are struggling to contain what is being described as the 'most destructive' wildfires in the country's history. Search crews have recovered four bodies outside the village of Odou on the southern edge of the Troodos mountain range. Residents who lost their homes have vented their fury at the government – claiming authorities were slow to respond to the fires. Police have said the catastrophic blaze may have been started deliberately and have arrested a 67-year-old man on suspicion of arson.
