Storm Elsa Flooding Closes Roads in Florida’s Hernando County

Flooding from Tropical Storm Elsa forced the closure of various roads in Hernando County, Florida, on Wednesday, July 7, according to officials. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said Pine Island Drive and several other roads in the county were closed due to “rising flood waters.” The sheriff’s office said this footage shows high tide flooding various areas in Hernando County, including Pine Island Drive, the Jenkins Creek Boat Ramp, and the Roger’s Park boat ramp. The sheriff’s office said crews were filling sandbags to help combat flooding in the area. Credit: Hernando County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
