Sydneysiders told to expect a rise in COVID cases

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has told Sydneysiders to expect a higher number of COVID cases than the 27 which were reported on Wednesday. On Wednesday Premier Gladys Berejiklan singled out Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Liverpool in the city’s south-west as areas of particular concern as cases continue to emerge due to non-compliance. NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said a number of suburbs with a higher infection risk include Bossley Park, Smithfield, Fairfield, West Hoxton, Bass Hill, St Johns Park, Canley Vale and Greenfield Park. Health authorities have urged people in those areas to not leave the house at all if they have enough food.
