Tropical Storm Elsa was forecast to strengthen as it moved along Florida’s Gulf Coast on Tuesday, July 6, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported. The storm increased its convection as it passed by Key West on July 6, the NWS said, with sustained winds of 49 mph and gusts of 64 mph. The National Hurricane Center said the storm would intensify over the next 24 hours before making landfall. Footage shared on Twitter by Paul A Rowe shows flooding in Key West on Tuesday.
