New South Wales Volunteer Crews Clean Up Fallen Trees and Debris After Flooding

Volunteer crews continued cleanup efforts on the North Coast in New South Wales on March 27 after destructive floods swept through the region. Footage released by New South Wales Rural Fire Service shows workers trimming fallen trees and clearing debris along a pier. “No resting this weekend for crews working on the flood cleanup on the north coast,” the fire service wrote in a caption. “As waters continue to recede in most areas, the focus is on cleaning up homes and businesses, and getting infrastructure up and running again.” On Friday, the Bureau of Meteorology warned of ongoing threats despite clear weather, as flood warnings remained in effect across river regions.
