Americans are enjoying big Independence Day celebrations after COVID saw many events cancelled last year. Excitement is in the air in Washington as revellers enjoy the holiday and look forward to a fireworks display in the evening. There are roads closed in the nation’s capital which has seen 18,000 liner feet of chain link fencing and 14,000 feet of bike racks set up for the celebrations. While there was a firework show last year, people were forced to watch virtually due to the pandemic, but large crowds are expected for this year’s display.
