Pride Office Ransacked by Protesters in Tbilisi

Organizers canceled an LGBT pride march in Tbilisi, Georgia, on Monday, July 5, after protesters attacked and ransacked their office. Tbilisi Pride co-founder Tamaz Sozashvili shared footage on Twitter from inside the damaged rooms. Journalists covering the counter protest were attacked, footage shows. Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili called the violence “unacceptable.” The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation into the violence against media representatives, as well as the damage to the offices, according to reports.
