ANU cosmologist and astrophysicist Dr Brad Tucker says the evidence proving the asteroid which killed the dinosaurs landed in Mexico 66 million years ago is a shard of asteroid lodged in the crater. Dr Tucker said the evidence of the asteroid had been found all over the world as it kicked up mass amounts of dust and debris. “What scientists have wanted to find is in that crater the bits of the asteroid left behind to show, yep, this asteroid hit here and essentially kicked up all this dirt,” he told Sky News.
