Five adults and four children were evacuated by a rescue crew in Tuncurry, New South Wales (NSW), on March 21, as severe flooding continued to affect the state’s Mid North Coast. This footage uploaded to Twitter by Fire and Rescue NSW shows adults and children being towed to safety in a dinghy. The crew worked for three hours through the night to safely evacuate the group, the state’s firefighting agency wrote in the post. NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said on March 22 around 18,000 people were evacuated from their homes in the state’s flood disaster, most of whom lived on the Mid North Coast. A flood watch is currently in place for most parts of coastal New South Wales. Credit: Fire and Rescue NSW via Storyful
