Early Childhood Education Australia CEO Samantha Page says she would like to see every Australian family receive some childcare assistance because the high costs often push mothers to make decisions that are not in her or her families best interests. “We don’t want to have her pushed out of the workforce, it’s usually her, because there’s that overall cut off,” she said. “I think it’s important that women are making choices about what’s in their best interest and the best interest of their family rather than what they can afford in relation to childcare.”
