Houston residents awoke to flooded streets on the morning of May 24, as the city and surrounding area faced more than a week of heavy rainfall. The National Weather Service warned of dangerous driving conditions on Monday in Houston, where a flash flood warning was in place. Forecasters said rain could continue through Wednesday.
