Liberal MP Dr Katie Allen says if states are going to have outbreaks that lead to lockdowns then permit exemptions should be introduced. This comes as Victoria recorded four cases of coronavirus, sparking fears of further spread. “I personally am not a big believer of state-based lockdowns, I believe we should be having hotspot control,” Dr Allen told Sky News. “I’m very keen to look at things like permit exemptions so that people can travel more easily if they have been fully vaccinated.”
