Myanmar’s ousted leader has appeared in court for the first time since the military overthrew her government in February. Aung San Suu Kyi was given 30 minutes to meet her legal team before the hearing to discuss several charges laid against her. The deposed leader has been accused of violating a state’s secrets law which carries a 14-year sentence.
