Central West NSW lockdown ends

Central West council areas in regional New South Wales have been released from lockdown overnight. Residents of Orange, Blayney and Cabonne were plunged into a seven-day-shutdown after a delivery driver tested positive to COVID-19. The Western Local Health District's Chief Executive Scott McLachlan said,” I know it’s been a long week for everyone, but can I thank you for your patience and persistence in doing all of the right things to keep COVID out of our region and to keep our communities and yourselves and family safe.” Mr McLachlan also said locals came out in droves to get tested but argued now they need to do the same to get vaccinated.
