‘Dog Vomit Slime Mold’ Pulsates in Alaskan National Park Timelapse

Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve in Gustavus, Alaska, shared a timelapse video of pulsating Fuligo septica, aka “dog vomit slime mold.” This four-hour timelapse video of the slime, which the park said was taken on July 26, shows it moving while being visited by insects. Dog vomit slime mold is classified as an eukaryotic organism that is “not an animal, plant, or fungus,” according to the National Park Service.
