CNN International Diplomatic Editor Nick Robertson says the Taliban are going to have a tough time controlling the whole of Afghanistan with terrorist groups such as ISIS-K proposing a challenge to their leadership. "Pakistani Taliban who are based in Afghanistan who are ramping up their attacks on Pakistan want to take control of the border area inside Pakistan – they're going to be a problem for the Taliban gong forward," he said. "A decentralised type of power that is really actually inclusive is the best bet for the Taliban for long term stability but their ability to actually prioritise that, deliver it - I think is difficult." Mr Robertson said the Taliban would also face economic struggles given their strict conservative interpretation of sharia law which prevents them from paying interest on loans.
