Hurricane Ida caused extensive damage across southeastern Louisiana after making landfall as a Category 4 storm on August 29. This video, taken in Hammond by Instagram user @showchoirguy93, who said they took it on August 31, shows downed trees and power lines. The hurricane was packing maximum sustained winds of 150 mph when it made landfall, the National Hurricane Center said. Ida was downgraded to a tropical depression on Monday as it moved over Mississippi. Credit: @showchoirguy93 via Storyful
