NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has delayed the release of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown due to the uncertainty of Sydney’s Delta outbreak. The premier promised the state would unveil a plan to ease restrictions last month but that is yet to be released. Ms Berejiklian first signalled the roadmap of July 7 and hinted restrictions would be eased in two-week stages. Outdoor dining, a return to face-to-face learning and the reopening of gyms are predicted to be among the first freedoms to be granted once the majority of adults in NSW have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
