Damage, Debris and Fires Left After Deadly Flooding in Waverly, Tennessee

Deadly flooding caused destruction across parts of Middle Tennessee, including the city of Waverly, where widespread damage was seen on Saturday, August 21. Footage filmed by local resident James Allen shows a jam of debris, including a boat, collected at a bridge, as well as smoke and fire rising from a collapsed structure and overturned vehicles. According to Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis, at least 15 people have died and more than 30 others are missing, local media reported. The National Weather Service did not anticipate any additional hazardous weather for the week of August 22. Credit: James Allen via Storyful
