International travel restrictions to lift once vaccine rates hit 80 per cent

The federal government has reaffirmed its commitment to lifting restrictions on outbound travel once Australia reaches 80 per cent vaccinations. Under Phase C of the roadmap restrictions on all outbound travel for inoculated Australians will lift and there is also the potential for some travel bubbles. It is believed the 80 per cent vaccination rate is likely to be reached by the end of the year. Tourism Minister Dan Tehan said the Pacific Islands, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom were “all possibilities that we’ll be able to extend out travel bubbles to”.
