Queensland makes vaccine compulsory for essential workers to enter

Under tough new border measures essential workers trying to enter Queensland from NSW won't be allowed entry unless they have had at least one COVID-19 vaccine. Police are now not only checking the passes of essential workers at the border but are also checking vaccine certificates. Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Ath said, “we have to keep our community safe because it was only just over nine weeks ago … NSW started with one case”. “That one cases has now turned into over 10,000 and far too many deaths. “If you don’t want to get vaccinated, stay home. “Don’t go out, because if you want to be able to go out, go on holidays, travel around this country and internationally, if you want to go out and enjoy the footy, you want to hug a loved one, you want to be able to shake hands again, then you need to get vaccinated.”
