Summer love was in the air in Austwell, Texas, as a pair of alligators got romantic in footage posted by the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. Video posted by the park on July 28 shows the two cold-blooded reptiles heating up by chasing each other around and showing off “underwater bubble displays,” according to a caption. Adult alligators engage in “complex mating rituals,” according to Sciencing, beginning when the weather warms up in spring. The rituals include bellowing to announce their presence.
