Victorian contact tracers are working to identify the source of the COVID infection of a teacher from a school in Melbourne’s northwest. Al-Taqwa College has been closed for deep cleaning and over 2,000 students have been placed in isolation. Other schools in the area have also been closed as a precautionary measure. Victoria’s COVID-19 Response Commander Jeroen Weimar told ABC Radio there would be a “significant work program” over the next 24-48 hours to carry out testing and identify any additional exposure sites.
