The United Kingdom has recorded a decline in daily COVID-19 cases as more than 24,000 new infections and 65 deaths were reported yesterday. Yesterday 38,000 people received their first dose of the vaccine and more than 212,000 have received their second jab. This means 72 per cent of the adult population of the UK is fully vaccinated. Data shows at least 60,000 deaths, 22 million infections, and 52,000 hospitalisations have been prevented by vaccines.
