New South Wales Labor leader hopefuls Michael Daley and Chris Minns will formally nominate for the top job today following the resignation of Jodi McKay. Former NSW Labor leader and MP for Maroubra Michael Daley has said he has the 15 signatures required from MPs to begin his nomination but only two main Labor ministers have come out publicly backing him. Kogarah MP Chris Minns has far more public support from his caucus colleagues in his third attempt for the top job with his supporters wanting Mr Daley to pull out of the race to avoid a costly rank and file ballot.
