Former United States Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld passed away overnight at the age of 88. Mr Rumsfeld served two nonconsecutive terms in the role under Presidents Gerald Ford and George W Bush. He presided over America’s Cold War strategies in the 1970s and was involved in the response to invade Afghanistan and Iraq after the events of 9/11.
