Wildfire Burns in Lytton, British Columbia, Amid Historic Heat Wave

Evacuation orders were issued after several wildfires burning in British Columbia threatened homes on Tuesday, June 29, reports said. Footage shared by Edith Loring-Kuhanga shows smoke billowing from the site of a fire in Lytton on Tuesday. The fire was named for George Road, where it started. Lytton broke the record for the hottest temperature ever recorded in Canada for a third straight day on June 29, hitting 49.6 C (121 F) on Tuesday, reports said.
