Flooding in Utah’s Zion National Park Leaves Roads Caked in Mud

Roads and canyons at Utah’s Zion National Park were closed on June 29 after the area was hit by flash flooding. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued multiple flash flood warnings for the park and surrounding areas. The park authority reported a mudslide had cut off one of Zion’s access roads near Rockville. This footage was published by @storchenzug, and shows rainfall and the flooding’s aftermath in Springfield, Utah. The park said it was open again on Wednesday, June 30, but had “modified operations” due to cleanup activities. Credit: @storchenzug via Storyful
