Woman denied access to see dying dad

An Australian woman trying to see her dying father has been asked to fork out $7,500 dollars to charter her own flight from Sydney to Melbourne quarantine. 32-year-old Anna Coffey arrived from New York six days ago after learning her father had suffered a serious stroke and had been admitted to palliative care. She booked a flight to Sydney, but state authorities will not allow her to drive to Victorian quarantine before applying to see her 80-year-old father. Ms Coffey has received both doses of the Moderna vaccine and has tested negative for COVID-19 three times in the past week. Prime Minister Scott Morrison wrote to her on Monday, apologising for the situation, saying he hoped "a solution can be found."
