Heavy rain fell in the greater Houston area on Thursday, June 3, threatening flooding in some areas, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported. Footage captured by Marcie Gray shows a shelf cloud approaching Bryan-College Station, northwest of Houston, on Thursday afternoon. According to the NWS, from May 11 to June 3, 13.97 inches of rain fell on Houston. It rained on 19 out of the 23 days, the weather service said. Credit: Marcie Gray via Storyful
