Half Australia’s population in lockdown

More than 13.5 million Australians - half the nation's population - are back living under lockdown as South Australia enters its first day of a seven-day shutdown. A long list of exposure sites have been revealed with five cases linked to a cluster in Adelaide. Premier Steven Marshall said, “I know that this is going to be a very difficult period, but South Australians are strong.” “They’re resilient and ultimately they know we do not want to go into an extended lockdown.”
