National Cabinet is set to meet today with the prime minister and premiers to discuss the reopening of the economy and speeding up the vaccine rollout. While Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk will be absent, Director-General Rachel Hunter will be taking her place. Discussion topics will include business support, hotel quarantine, and the COVID "shield plan", which is part of the vaccine rollout. Jane Halton, head of the federal government’s inquiry into hotel quarantine, will also be giving an update and there will be discussions on home isolation for returned travellers.
