Storm Henri Damages New Jersey Ice Cream Shop

Tropical storm Henri caused flooding across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut from Saturday night, August 21, into Monday, August 23, as heavy rain storms hovered over the region before moving east, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. Video posted on Facebook shows damage caused to the Four Boys Ice Cream Shop in Jamesburg, New Jersey, as seen on Sunday morning. The chain of six stores said its Jamesburg location would be closed until further notice due to the “excessive damage.” Parts of Middlesex County received more than 9 inches of rain by 10 am on Sunday morning, according to NWS reports. A flood watch would remain in effect for the county through Monday. Credit: Luke Becker/Four Boys Ice Cream via Storyful
